| Up for sale is this Hardinge HLV-H EM (English/Metric) Super Precision Tool Room Lathe. This is in good condition and has never been repainted. This machine was originally purchased by the Polaroid Corp. and I purchased it from a technology company in the Boston area.To the best of my knowledge this is a 1980 machine that has many late model features such as a tapered Hardinge spindle, wide bed plate with teflon lined carriage, ball bearing carriage rack gear and more. This machine is 230V 3 Phase power. This lathe has the expanded english/metric gearbox that allows metric threading with the turn of a knob. This also has the dual dial readouts that have english and metric readings.This machine is in good mechanical condition and is ready to be used right away. All the power feeds function as they should and the gearbox works as it should. The oiling lubrication system functions as it should as well. This is equipped with an SWI Trak 102 two axis DRO that reads in 0.0005″ increments. The DRO manual is included too. This lathe comes with the pictured tooling, including 2 trays of 5C collets. These are all different sizes and styles but the large majority are Hardinge brand. Other accessories are available such as taper attachment, steady rest, chucks, tool post, etc. This machine is powered up and available for inspection.
